Sustainable Chemical Engineering Technology
The Study Center for Sustainable Chemical Engineering Technology was established with a focus on the development and enhancement of sustainable energy efficiency to address the national and international energy crisis within the field of chemical engineering. This involves improving the efficiency of existing conventional energy sources as well as exploring renewable sources. The center conducts research on renewable resources such as waste (cow dung, plastic waste, palm oil effluent, and many more.), biomass (empty palm fruit bunches, algae, coffee waste, microorganisms, and many more), and water and its by-products. This is achieved through environmentally friendly conversion processes on laboratory, pilot, and industrial scales, aiming to produce green and sustainable alternative energy within the framework of a circular economy model through a systematic and collaborative approach with industry, government, and society.
